What American Library Association Booklist Magazine says about the Jazzles ELA songs:-

"The 30 entertaining alphabet songs will tickle children beginning to attain familiarity with alphabet letters. Happily, the songs (such as 'Angry Alligator', 'Blue Bus Blues', and 'Clever Kid') rarely settle for common alphabetical cliches.

Musically, the selections are outstanding with skilful performances by the Jazzles, as the young singers are known. known. The original tunes are creatively jazzy."

Jazzles animated alliterative songs include one order of the alphabet song and a song for each of the 26 letters.

Now completely enhanced as widescreen, multimedia cartoons featuring 'Matching Captions', Jazzles extends learning fun with integrated A-Z audio books and interactive computer games.

Kinetic - Phonetic

Jazzles is "play based". It uses alphabet songs as the engaging and entertaining focus for a week or more of fun filled literacy learning activities using materials found in every home.

Supporting learning of alphabet letter 'm', these children are acting out 'munching' a favorite meal their mother makes for them! Full of foods beginning with 'm', milk is included of course!

Tactile Alphabet Letters

With alliterative collage, children color and glue materials on to an alphabet letter. Usually, the material begins with the same letter. For example for alphabet letter 'p', popular choices would be popcorn, peanuts, parsley or pumpkin seeds! Here this girl is creating a colorful pattern for a party ceiling mobile.

Alphabet Letter O - Orange Octopus

Outstanding orange 'o'!
Collage the alphabet letter 'o' in orange flower petals, dried orange peel or any collage materials that are orange and begin with 'o'!

Jazzles ELA helps so many children. Our poor. Our English Language learners. Our special needs children including gifted children and many autistic children. Boys as well as reluctant learners and our growing numbers of visual-kinesthetic learners.

Here are just a few reasons why.
Usually learning to read is by teaching children individual pieces of knowledge like learning the alphabet, sight words and letter sounds. Children are then expected to understand how the pieces fit together. It’s like completing a complex puzzle without the luxury of referencing the 'big' picture on the box lid.

This is why so many children struggle to 'get-it' - and particularly so for those with learning difficulties such as dyslexia, autism and ADD.

In contrast, the Jazzles approach succeeds with every child because its resources cater for all learning styles and multiple intelligences.

Jazzles Gives Kindergarten Children the Reading Skills Now That Will Work For Them Through Grades 1 and 2!

Each Jazzles fun, animated song builds on the learning of the previous song. Used in a research based order, Jazzles 'fast tracks' children's ability to decode, identify and accurately predict words in connected text earlier rather than later.

In particular, Jazzles excels at developing the 4 research-proven skills that are the best predictors of your child's reading fluency in first and second grades - vocabulary, word retrieval, phonemic awareness and concepts of print.

Click here and read more about Jazzles and how it works by using an integrated package of language-rich resources carefully designed to engage every child's level of developmental abilities, multiple intelligences and learning styles. Or better still, visit the new Jazzles ELA web site and see for yourself how transformative Jazzles ELA is. You'll be glad you did!

The literacy development goals for each Jazzles resource file are: vocabulary, comprehension, fluency, phonemic awareness and alphabetic understanding. The program takes a 'Big Picture' approach to language development and the key file for each letter is the Song Animation file. Lyrics have been carefully chosen to support the language development goals, supported by engaging music and an animation sequence that coordinates the movement, behaviors, and expressions of the animated characters with the lyrics that scroll at the bottom of the screen. This results in a multisensory experience with aural, visual, kinetic, and emotional senses being engaged.

In the Rhythm and Blues musical 'Blue Bus Blues Animation' above, the alliterative lyrics activate a vocabulary of 55 words in connected text, 23 different words including 11 starting with the brainy letter bB. Apart from literacy, New Jazzles ELA is perfect for developing constructivism as a paradigm for teaching and learning. Lesson Plans include wide ranges of topics and extensions for engaging discussions, explorations and reinforcement - all developing social and communication skills, as well as collaboration and exchange of ideas. For example, in 'Blue Bus Blues', children have fun pretending to be as sad as Tazz discovering that he has forgotten his belongings on the bus! How you would feel if you left your favorite teddy bear in a bus - what it means to be responsible for belongings and researching how to retrieve lost belongings - and handling 'the blues'.

In this video, Kindergarten teacher Diane Pedersen explains how Jazzles alliterative alphabet songs promote reading. Singing, she says, makes children feel happy, creates a sense of community and belonging, uplifting emotions and moods, to make practicing oral language a joy not a drag! Instead of boring rote, Diane discusses how her class became so engrossed singing the Jazzles songs, they forgot it was dinner time! All because they love the Jazzles songs! Happy children, she says, are happy learners and a happy learning environment creates the motivation for children, as natural learners, to achieve their potential.

"I am really excited about this program. Not just myself but, the children are demanding the program. I have used many programs, and Jazzles is the first program that the children request. The kids love it, and I do too. I will be using Jazzles throughout the day, as a complete program. It will be utilized through, art, science, music and movement. It is interactive and develops the whole child. Jazzles all the way, all day.... "
Teacher December 2010

The Jazzles lyrics contain 417 useful words in connected text that makes sense, emphasizing nearly 75% of English words found in high fluency and sight word lists. 600 more are in the interactive games and carefully structured activities, so children add nearly 1000 words to their speaking and listening vocabularies. More than simple words, children love using words from the songs like 'extraordinary' and 'astonished' to impress you! How do Nursery Rhymes and other alphabet songs compare?
