Hi, I'm Lesley Beth.
I'm an experienced kindergarten teacher. I have created the only song-themed, multimedia, cross curriculum program for PreK and Kindergarten. It is all explained
on our new website - JazzlesELA.com. Click here and see how Jazzles ELA will change your teaching day!
See how Jazzles ELA achieves:
Rapid development of a class-wide oral language and vocabulary base enjoyably and seamlessly acquired by repeatedly singing the alliteratively rich Jazzles lyrics/songs.
Rapid development of reading and writing skills based on what children progressively 'grow-to-know' by singing the Jazzles songs and watching the animations. (Confidence!)
Using Jazzles songs to develop rapid recall of 4 out of 5 high frequency/sight words at grade levels well above expectation.
Recommended research based order for teaching alphabet letters/Jazzles songs.
Assessing phonemic awareness development using 8 structured activities recommended by the National Institute for Literacy.
Eight resources for each A-Z learning set to develop Concepts about Print - and so much more!
Also described is the research based, 'science' of Jazzles and how you can integrate its extensive resources into your curriculum across the school week.
With Jazzles, there are no contracts, no hidden fees, no extra charges. Sets up in seconds. Cancel anytime. To try it for free, just click here and email Lesley Beth. No text message required but any information is welcome.
You'll discover that with so many Visual, Kinesthetic children entering Kindergarten, Jazzles truly is 'Big Picture ' Learning !
Jazzles is rather like a jigsaw – the pieces (the skills required for reading) fall much quicker and easier into place because children get first to view the 'grand design'!
It starts with the Jazzles Song Animations. Each A-Z animation is a complete mini-literacy package that demonstrates Vocabulary, Comprehension, Print Awareness, Fluency, Phonemic Awareness and Alphabetic Principle.
In my years of reading intervention experience, I have observed how teaching these skills individually is a major reason why lots of children really struggle because they cannot see how the parts fit together.
In comparison, by using Jazzles, children experience the 'big picture' right from the beginning.
Jazzles is also BIG on engaging strategies that develop children's self-esteem, confidence and social skills.
Jazzles ELA is perfect for Preschool, Kindergarten, Virtual Schools, ESL and Special Education.
Supporting Jazzles' extensive multimedia files, are 100's of printables including song lyrics sheets, 'Read and Color' pages, 'Alliterative Collage' worksheets, 'cut and paste' worksheets for cloze passages and 'storyboards' for creative writing.

Jazzles ELA Overcomes Your Biggest Educational Challenge!
The biggest challenge in U.S. primary education is teaching mixed ability classes.
In my experience, the first semester is crucial, and the epicentre is reading. If children don't experience some 'beginning to read' success in these never to be repeated few months, they are likely to lose confidence, fall behind and, as research predicts, risk never catching up.
It's all unnecessary!
In this video, I show you how I've used all my talents, skills, and the knowledge of 20 years teaching experience, to create Jazzles ELA.
Independently assessed as meeting/exceeding Common Core State Standards for Kindergarten ELA, Jazzles is the world's largest, transformative, song-powered multimedia, multimodal Beginning Reading program.
It is a systematic, sequential Visual-Auditory-Kinesthetic-Tactile ELA program that achieves extraordinary levels of intellectual and emotionally engaged learning.
When 40% of a mixed-ability Missouri kindergarten (half on free lunch) with no prior reading level, achieve year end-literacy in the first semester, you've got to take it seriously!
Two independent theses prove it.

BIG NEWS!
New Jazzles ELA It's a Whole New Way of Teaching Children to Read.
It's Fun! It's Easy! It's Fast! It Will Save You Hours of Frustration Every Day!
Jazzles ELA Multisensory Activity Pages Supporting Literacy
Jazzles multisensory activity pages are thematically created to be reinforcing literacy extensions of the primary Jazzles 'sing and read' files.
Without using specialist teachers, Jazzles ELA utilizes the mnemonic roles of music, creative arts and guided play to deliver engaging, intuitive learning and superior early literacy outcomes that can be assessed using standard State benchmarks. These include DIBELS, Scott Foresman Reading Street, Reading A-Z, etc.
"Those in multisensory environments always do better than those in unisensory environments. They have more recall with better resolution that lasts longer, evident even 20 years later, " says the New York Times review of the 2008 Best Seller, 'Brain Rules - 12 Principles for Surviving and Thriving at Work, Home and School' by Dr. John Medina (http://brainrules.net/)
That's why creative arts feature so importantly in Jazzles ELA. Children immersed in Jazzles appreciate that all the activities they enjoy are directed at building their knowledge and literacy skills related to words, letter-sounds, understanding of texts, sentence structures and writing, particularly creative writing using Jazzles Storyboard activity pages.
Says James J. Harrigan, Principal of New York State Recognized Closing the Gap School, "What Jazzles really does superbly is take these traditional early childhood classroom activities, and through its interactive program of music, movement and creative games, it enhances and reinforces the literary skills expected of kindergarten and grade one students today. "
Rather than winnowing arts from the curriculum, this video is a quick glimpse into how Jazzles uses the arts and learning styles, to creatively engage, enhance and accelerate children's literacy development.

If you ever wondered how much curiosity children have, play the 'Why? Why? Why?' animation! It's full of Cross-Curricular Themes like:
'questioning' and the use of a 'question mark', types
of questions (why? what? when? where?), the seasons of the year, animals of the polar regions, types of flight,
animal/insect camouflage, birds, rain cycles, water conservation and how to find out information. All supported by printable worksheets.
Be Astonished - Like This Teacher...
"I was astonished to see how much their [DIBELS] scores improved after incorporating the Jazzles songs," wrote a teacher, writing a thesis on "Impact of Singing and Reading Songs on Beginning Kindergarten Levels."

... Getting Results Like This!
The National Reading Panel ranks print awareness as among the best predictors of early reading achievement.
The chart above shows student scores achieved after 12 weeks of using Jazzles songs in the first semester (term) of kindergarten. Pretest CAP scores were 4.12. After 12 weeks, Posttest were 8.06.
At the end of the first kindergarten semester using Jazzles, 20% of the children researched increased reading two levels and 40% three levels. Nearly 40% achieved year end literacy levels in the first 14 weeks. Half were entitled to free lunch.

Some older students have asked if I've
been singing a song about alligators
and tigers with their younger siblings,
because they sing it at home all the
time! Other teachers thought it was
sooo cool."

How will my Students Benefit?
Jazzles engages emotionally and intellectually using entertaining media that children love. This includes interactive screens, computer games and music. Children just keep asking for more!
Catering for all Learning Styles and 8 Multiple Intelligences, Jazzles prepares children cognitively, emotionally and socially for entering Kindergarten.
Using familiar contexts created by the animations, it's play based activities are planned to develop children's confidence and self-esteem through 'scaffolding' lots of easily achievable 'little successes' in happy learning activities.
How will the School Benefit?
Cost effective!
1. Lowest cost literacy program.
2. Creates cohesively engaged classrooms.
3. Improves grades.
4. Reduces Pull-Outs, Interventions, Remedials.
5. Creates positive and effective school-to-home.
6. Enables specialist Arts, Drama and Music teachers achieve measurable literacy outcomes.

What are the benefits of Jazzles Songs?
Until now, there has never been a singing, music-themed product like Jazzles ELA that packages everything into an effective Early Reading Resource.
Research shows that musical and phonemic processing interact – benefiting attention span, focus, comprehension and memory. The 'Music-Memory' connection 'effortlessly' and rapidly achieves state literacy levels for all the six big ideas of literacy – measurable by any independent assessment system.
Substantial internalized vocabulary is the single most important indicator for reading success. For the 40% of children from disadvantaged backgrounds who normally struggle to engage with literacy, the 26 Jazzles song-filled animations may be their one and only real opportunity to happily internalize English Language - including nearly three-quarters of the words found in most high-frequency sight word lists.

Left-to-Right Tracking. A kindergarten student following the words on a printed lyrics worksheet page in time to the beat of song.
In the video, she is actually moving to the beat – employing all three learning styles – visual, aural and kinesthetic!
How Does Jazzles ELA Compare?
No other ELA Multimedia Resource is as extensive, as integrated or uses as many memorization strategies as Jazzles. It does so many things better than other core curriculum programs.
Here's what one of New York City's most distinguished public school principals says about the program.
"What it [Jazzles] really does superbly is take these traditional early childhood classroom activities, and through its interactive program of music, movement and creative games, it enhances and reinforces the literary skills expected of kindergarten and grade one students today.
"Most importantly, Jazzles corresponds clearly with any balanced, comprehensive and sequential reading curriculum. Its games and activities are consistent with all the essential elements of reading – phonemic awareness, phonics, fluency, comprehension, vocabulary development and Concepts About Print. For example, the Jazzles Learning System emphasizes nearly three quarters of the English language words included in most high fluency and sight word lists."
James J. Harrigan
